Strict procedures for issuing civil cards for single expats

  • 21/01/2024

The issuance and renewal of civil cards for single expatriates have undergone more stringent procedures by the Public Authority for Civil Information. These procedures now include a meticulous examination of rental contracts, with a particular focus on verifying the owner's signature. Additionally, the authority has partnered with a committee to tackle the matter of unmarried individuals living in private and residential areas. This collaboration involves cross-referencing their civil cards to ensure the reported location is accurate.

Khaled Al-Shammari, the designated representative of the Public Authority for Civil Information, has stressed the explicit prohibition of registering bachelors in private housing within the address list managed by the authority. To ensure compliance with this restriction, automated procedures and systems have been implemented.
