Filipina murder case: Kuwait Court upholds conviction of the suspect

The Kuwait Appeal Court's decision to uphold the conviction of the suspect in the murder of  Filipino worker Jullebee Ranara has been welcomed by the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). Undersecretary Hans Leo Cacdac, the officer in charge of DMW, stated in a Wednesday night statement that the Gulf state's appellate court has fully embraced the 16-year imprisonment sentence, consisting of one year for driving without a license and 15 years for murder. He further mentioned that the Ranara family has been informed of the Court's ruling and assured them of the continued utmost support and assistance, as directed by President Marcos.
