Kuwaiti Emir accepts government's resignation

After the recent parliamentary elections and the announcement of their outcomes, pursuant to Article 57 of the Constitution, the government led by Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Al-Sabah, has submitted its resignation. The Prime Minister, on behalf of himself and his cabinet members, conveyed deep gratitude and admiration for His Highness's unwavering trust, generous backing, and valuable guidance, commending His Highness for the dedicated endeavors undertaken by the ministers during their tenure.


In its extraordinary meeting, today at Bayan Palace, headed by the Prime Minister, the Council of Ministers approved a draft decree calling on the National Assembly to convene for the first regular session of the eighteenth legislative term on the morning of Wednesday, April 17, and submitting it to His Highness the Emir of the country.
