These losses not only affect the financial stability of service provision but also result in significant disruptions to vital utilities, such as electricity and water. The Ministry has emphasized the direct financial impact of cable theft, as well as the indirect consequences, which include service disruptions that require lengthy procurement processes for replacement cables. The recent arrests made by the Interior Ministry, where three individuals were apprehended for stealing and selling electrical cables, were specifically acknowledged as positive measures taken to address this issue.
