43,289 Kuwaitis, expatriates prohibited from traveling abroad

The Kuwaiti government is implementing a travel ban to prevent people involved in immigration disputes or violations from leaving the country until the matter is resolved. The bans apply until the case (criminal, criminal or immigration offense) is resolved.


The latest figures from the Ministry of Interior's travel ban office within the Ministry of Justice show that 43,289 Kuwaitis and expatriates have been banned from traveling abroad in the first half of 2024. However, 25,149 orders have been issued to lift these travel bans so far.
