During the Board of Directors meeting, which was held on Wednesday, the Kuwait Football Association decided to suspend the Secretary-General, Salah Al-Qenaei, and the Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, Muhammad Bou Abbas, and refer them for investigation, and to form a committee to investigate the organization of the Kuwait-Iraq match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Football Association issued a statement in which it said: “The Kuwait Football Association expresses its deep regret for the events that occurred in the football match that was held yesterday between our national football team and its Iraqi counterpart.
