Kuwait warned of the serious impact of the worsening humanitarian crises in the region on the basic rights of refugees and displaced persons, denouncing the use of illegal methods such as starvation as a weapon of war and preventing the access of necessary humanitarian aid.

This came in a speech delivered by the Acting Chargé d'Affaires of the Permanent Delegation of Kuwait to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, Counselor Abdullah Al-Khubaizi, during the meeting of the Executive Committee of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva in its 75th session, which runs from October 14 to 18. Al-Khubaizi denounced the flagrant violations of international humanitarian law, calling on the international community to take a serious stand to ensure the protection of the rights of war victims and to secure the access of humanitarian aid without any obstacles.
