March Equinox in UAE: Equal Day and Night, Upcoming Lunar & Solar Eclipses

Abu Dhabi: The March equinox will take place in the UAE on March 11, marking a day when day and night are of equal length. Occurring twice a year, this astronomical event signals the change of seasons, according to the Emirates Astronomy Society. Following the equinox, days will gradually become longer and warmer, signifying the arrival of spring, explained Ibrahim Al Jarwan, chairman of the Emirates Astronomical Society.

In addition to the equinox, two major celestial events will happen this month. A total lunar eclipse is set for March 14, visible primarily in the United States, but not in the UAE or Arabian Peninsula. Later, on March 29, a partial solar eclipse will occur, visible in parts of North America, Europe, and the North Pole, but again not in the UAE.
