Kuwait City: The Kuwait Fire Force issued an important safety advisory on Wednesday, urging the public to refrain from using elevators during the scheduled power outages announced by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.
Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, emphasized the importance of staying calm in the event of an elevator malfunction or power cut. He advised individuals trapped in elevators not to panic and to press the alarm button to seek assistance.
He strongly warned against attempting to open the elevator doors manually, as this could put lives at risk. Instead, he recommended sitting down on the elevator floor to stay calm and conserve energy while waiting for help.
The Fire Force also reminded the public not to hesitate to call the emergency number "112" if they need immediate assistance.
