Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday the arrest of an illegal resident, commonly referred to as a "Bedoon," for possessing a large quantity of imported alcoholic beverages.
According to a press release, the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department for Combating Narcotics, led the investigation and field surveillance that resulted in the arrest.
The accused was found in possession of approximately 1,500 bottles of imported alcohol, with an estimated market value exceeding 100,000 Kuwaiti dinars. Authorities also seized a sum of money believed to be the proceeds from alcohol trafficking.
The Ministry emphasized that legal action is being taken and investigations are ongoing to uncover any accomplices or additional links to the case.
