Washington: In a tragic incident in Long Island City, New York, a one-month-old infant was killed after being attacked by a family dog while sleeping in bed with the parents. The incident occurred on 12th Street, and the dog involved was a German Shepherd-Pit Bull mix.
According to the mother’s statement to the police, the dog suddenly became aggressive and bit the baby while the child was asleep. Authorities from the Animal Control Department have taken the dog into custody following the incident.
Police are currently questioning the parents as part of the investigation. No charges have been filed so far, and the case remains under active investigation.
