Kuwait: Yousef Kazim, the official spokesperson for the Unified Government Application for Electronic Services (Sahl), has announced the launch of a new feature that sends weather warning notifications directly to users' phones.
This development, introduced by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, aims to enhance public safety by keeping Kuwaiti citizens and residents informed about sudden weather changes. The feature includes instant “air warning notifications” that appear on users’ phone screens, with full details accessible through the app’s "Notifications" menu.
Kazim highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Meteorology Department, and the Sahl app development team. He noted that this addition not only improves the overall user experience but also ensures timely access to critical weather updates.
The feature is part of a broader initiative to enhance digital services and public safety through real-time government communication.
