The Family Care Authority (FCA) has unveiled its Aftercare Service, marking the second phase of its Halfway Houses project under the Integrated Care Model. This new initiative provides flexible, high-quality treatment for individuals who have completed residential care or whose conditions do not require inpatient treatment.

The service targets adults who have undergone detoxification and are committed to continuing their rehabilitation journey. It offers comprehensive support through individual and group therapy, life skills workshops, relapse prevention, and family counseling—helping participants reintegrate into society as healthy, productive citizens.

Delivered by experienced specialists, the Aftercare Service ensures a structured, research-backed approach aligned with Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Strategy to Combat Addiction. It promotes mental well-being, strengthens family ties, and contributes to community stability.

HE Salama Al Ameemi, FCA Director General, emphasized that the service reflects the leadership’s vision of a cohesive society. Rashid Al Dhaheri, Head of the Halfway Houses Section, highlighted that sustained recovery requires continued support beyond residential treatment—a commitment central to FCA’s pioneering mental health and social services.
