The General Traffic Department has announced that trucks will be banned from main roads from September 1, 2025, until June 14, 2026. The prohibition will be in effect during morning peak hours from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and during evening peak hours from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

From June 15, 2026, until August 31, 2026, the restrictions will be limited to evening hours only, maintaining the same timeframe of 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. This seasonal adjustment reflects changing traffic patterns during different times of the year.

The Ministry of Interior has emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to facilitate smoother traffic flow and reduce congestion on main roadways. Officials have urged truck drivers to strictly adhere to the specified timings to avoid legal penalties.

These regulations demonstrate the government's commitment to improving urban mobility and road safety. By implementing time-based restrictions for commercial vehicles, authorities aim to create a more efficient transportation network that benefits all road users while maintaining essential goods movement during permitted hours.
