JUST 5 MINUTES FOR EXPAT TRANSACTIONS

Kuwait City : Now it takes just five minutes to complete each transaction of expatriates at the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI). Foreign Ministry Director Mansour al-Harbi said that this is possible as the evening shift is less crowded. He explained that 300 centers affiliated with PACI received 300,000 clients last year. These centers have 150 employees. There are many types of transactions such as renewing, issuing, canceling, changing addresses, changing or adding pictures, adding newborns or changing their date of birth.

Director General of the Public Authority for Civil Information Musaid Al-Azouz ,considering the situation of Covid19 and other consequences of congestion made such an arrangement where locals, Gulf nationals and other residents can use the day shift and Foreigners can use the evening shift without affecting their dutytime . The number of transactions per day has risen to 700 as people can take their turn for transactions and complete transactions within five minutes from the time they enter the hall. Thanks to the hard work of the staff and the cooperation of the people. In the past, people had to get time in advance for their dealings. This can take up to two weeks. But now individuals are able to choose the time of the day that is convenient for them.
