DELAY AND EXTRA COSTS - EXPATRIATES IN DISTRESS

Kuwait City :From February 21, aviation authorities will allow direct entry to Kuwait from all countries. Admission is subject to conditions. The new requirement is that those from countries at high risk of being infected with the corona virus must stay in the Institutional Quarantine for two weeks and those who are not must stay for one week.However, expatriates are suffering due to sudden cancellations and delays. More and more bookings are coming from travelers from high - risk countries. 

Hotel bookings and flight bookings are on the rise.Due to the small number of hotels allotted for the Institutional Quarantine and the 1000 travelers arriving in Kuwait per day, the hotel booking rates will also increase.
In addition, the package allowed at the booked hotels only includes breakfast.This may  incur additional charges for food .Tickets from Dubai and Turkey are set to rise as passengers, who have been stranded for more than a month, try to reach Kuwait as soon as possible. .Delays in notifications from civil aviation naturally lead to increased costs for those seeking to enter Kuwait in compliance with quarantine outside the country.
