KUWAIT RETURNS TO NORMAL LIFE, ALL COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES WILL START FROM JULY 29

Kuwait City: The Cabinet today decided to resume all activities from July 29, except for gatherings, conferences and public functions such as weddings. Meanwhile, Tariq al-Musram, head of the government's communications center and a government spokesman, said the children's activities and camps had not been approved to start from September 1.


The opening hours of commercial establishments, malls, restaurants and coffee shops were waived. It will come into effect from Tuesday. Only those who have been vaccinated will be allowed to enter various activities, he said, adding that those who have not been vaccinated will be allowed access only to pharmacies, cooperatives, consumer societies, parallel markets, food and catering marketing outlets.

The Cabinet also approved the decision to allow expatriates to enter Kuwait directly from August 1. Direct entry into Kuwait will be allowed from August 1, from all countries with travel restrictions. PCR test is to be taken in Kuwait during the three-day home quarantine period. With this, the return of Indians, including expatriates, to Kuwait is possible again.
