Kuwait City: The civil aviation authorities have issued instructions regarding the entry of foreigners. Earlier, the Kuwaiti government had decided to allow expatriates who had received the covid vaccine to enter the country. The decision was made on the recommendation of the Corona Emergency Committee. Admission is open to recipients of Kuwait-approved vaccines such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Modena, Johnson & Johnson. The ban on foreigners entering Kuwait comes in the wake of the covid crisis. The new decision will bring much relief to hundreds of expats, including Malayalees, who have been worried for months due to the entry ban.

These are the conditions imposed on foreigners entering Kuwait.
1. Only those who have received Kuwait-approved vaccines such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Modena, Johnson & Johnson will be allowed to enter the country. Immune / Kuwait‌

2. Kuwaiti nationals who are unable to receive the vaccine for health reasons must have a medical record proving it.
3. Pregnant women should keep valid documents.
4. All travelers arriving in the country are entitled to a 72-hour valid P. C. R certificate. It has to be produced at the Kuwait Airport.
5. Passengers have to register their details in Shlonak app and Kuwait Muzafir app.
6. All foreigners entering the country must perform a one-week home quarantine. The quarantine can be terminated if the test is negative.
7. Those who have been vaccinated outside Kuwait can register on the website following the instructions of the Ministry of Health and schedule a trip upon further approval.

There is still uncertainty as to whether Kovid will start direct flights from the worst-hit countries. It is believed that expatriates from countries including India can enter the country by performing quarantine for fourteen days in the countries where they are allowed to travel to Kuwait. Meanwhile, the civil aviation authorities said that only those who meet the requirements of the circular issued today will be allowed to enter the country. Although thousands of expatriates have registered their vaccination certificates through the portal of the Department of Health, the fact that they have not yet been approved is creating a major crisis for expatriates who want to return to Kuwait. Expatriates stranded outside Kuwait are unable to book tickets due to delays in obtaining vaccination certificates.
