ABOUT 90 PERCENT OF KUWAITI NURSERY STAFF VACCINATED

Kuwait City: A second campaign was launched yesterday to provide covid vaccine to staff and workers in nurseries for children. Employees of private nurseries and institutions for people with disabilities were vaccinated during a campaign at the English Group Nursery Building in Salva. About 90 percent of Kuwaiti nursery staff were vaccinated.


The vaccination campaign is being carried out ahead of the reopening of nurseries that have been closed for a year and a half due to the covid epidemic. Faiz al-Shammari, a representative of the Nurseries Association, said the goal was to provide 2,700 doses of the vaccine to the staff of 100 nurseries registered out of a total of 544.

He added that so far 90 per cent of the nursery staff have been vaccinated through such campaigns. The plan is to open nurseries for children in early September.
