AFGHAN WOMAN GIVES BIRTH TO BABY ON KUWAIT AIRSPACE

Kuwait City: Authorities say an Afghan woman has given birth to a baby girl on a Turkish Airlines evacuation flight from Afghanistan. Suman Noori, 26, from Afghanistan, gave birth to a baby boy 10,000 meters above the earth's surface.


The delivery took place with the help of a cabin crew. Authorities said the mother and baby were fine. Suman Noori gave birth to a baby boy on a flight from Dubai to the UK at 4 am in Kuwait airspace.

The plane landed in Kuwait as a precaution, but the mother and baby later flew to Birmingham. Suman and his partner, Taj Mohammed, named the baby Hafa.
