UN AWARD FOR DASMAN DIABETES INSTITUTE

Kuwait City:  Last year, the Dasman Institute of Research and Treatment of Diabetes was recognized by the United Nations for its outstanding work in the prevention of non-communicable diseases. The institute, affiliated to the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, has won the 2021 United Nations Award.


Director-General Khais Al-Duwairi said the award recognizes the Institute's significant contribution to the development of the National Diabetes Register, as well as the Institute's outstanding contributions to the treatment, prevention and reduction of complications of diabetes.
