JUDICIAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY APPOINTS 14 WOMAN JUDGES

Kuwait City: Fourteen women judges, including seven Chief Justices, have made history in the country's judicial system. For the first time, seven women judges will head the abuse department in criminal cases, said Abdullatif al - Tunayan, head of the General Assembly Council. With this, women judges will be able to pass verdicts in crime and traffic related cases. 


Fatima Al-Kandari, Sanabal Al-Houti, Fatima Sageer, Bashir Muhammad, Bashair Al-Raqdan, Rowa Al-Tabtabai, and Lulwa Al-Ghanim were appointed as Chief Justices by Sharifa Al-Mubarak, Isra Saleem, Lulwa Al-Amhaj, Fatima Al-Farhan, and Fatima Al-Farhan. Durai and Farah Al Ajeel were also appointed as women judges in various circuits. In 2018, the Kuwait Supreme Judicial Council approved the inclusion of women in public prosecution. Women have a crucial presence in all sectors of the country. Women have a large representation in Parliament and in the Cabinet. The authorities said that the strong advancement of women in all fields is possible in the special interest of the Emir of Kuwait.
