KUWAIT CABINET CONVENES EXTRAORDINARY MEETING, IMPORTANT PROJECTS WERE DISCUSSED

Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti cabinet convened an extraordinary meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khalid. The meeting took place on the site of the Sheikh Jaber Al Abdullah Al Jaber Al Sabah International Tennis Complex. 


The meeting discussed major development projects. The meeting mainly focused on the Sheikh Jaber Al Abdullah Al Jaber Al Sabah International Tennis Complex, the first project to bring sports and commercial activities in tennis under one umbrella as a result of the collaboration between the Public Sector Sports Authority, the Kuwait Tennis Federation and the private sector. 

The project aims to create investment opportunities and promote sports training. The Prime Minister and Ministers visited the complex on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting.

The ministers held discussions with those in charge of the project and senior officials of the General Sports Authority. It includes 18 tennis courts, two international courts and an international tennis academy. The Cabinet expressed satisfaction and pride in the activities related to the project. 

The Cabinet also evaluated the recommendation of the Public Service Commission on the commencement of recreational activities in the Wafra and Abdali agricultural areas. The Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs & Fisheries Resources has been tasked to coordinate the activities related to this.
