REVENUE FROM WATERFRONT PROJECTS IN KUWAIT RISEN SHARPLY

Kuwait City:  Revenue from waterfront projects has risen sharply since the termination of contracts with private investors, according to Tourism Enterprises. This is an increase of 366 per cent over the previous rental income. 


The company was responding to questions from MP Abdul Aziz Al Saqaibi. The ministry had extended the contract with the investor during 2012-2015 as it prepared to terminate it.

When the cabinet extended the contract again in 2015-2018, the company had offered sites at public auction. However, the company said it had suspended it at the request of the Audit Bureau.
