DEPORTATION CELL TO BE OPENED AT AIRPORT

Kuwait City: A decision has been taken to set up an office near Al Assam Roundabout to prepare files for deportees. The office is started by the Prison Administration, which is affiliated to the Correctional Institutions Sector and the Sentence Execution Department in collaboration with the Residence Affairs Sector of the Residence Investigation General Administration. 


Steps have been taken to open the office on the instructions of Interior Minister Sheikh Tamar Al Ali. The home minister visited the deportation center late last week. After this, he suggested that the number of people in the deportation center should be controlled. 

The deportation cell is also being considered at the airport, sources said. They point out that any offender who wants to leave the country can use the airport facility and initiate all deportation proceedings.
