HIGH SPEEDS TRAINS CONNECTING SAUDI ARABIA AND UAE TO START RUNNING BY END OF NEXT YEAR

Kuwait City: High speed trains connecting Saudi Arabia and UAE are expected to start running by the end of 2022. The two countries have the widest railway line in the Gulf Cooperation Council. It can also facilitate freight and travel between Saudi Arabia and the UAE.


The train connection between the two countries is part of the Gulf Link based on the recommendations of the 2016 GCC Transport Ministers. More than $ 200 billion is being invested in a 400,000-kilometer railway project connecting the Arab Gulf states.
