TRAFFIC INSPECTION, SEVERAL PEOPLE ARRESTED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: A week-long traffic inspection across the country has uncovered 39,797 traffic violations, according to the Interior Ministry. Penalties were imposed on those whose licenses had expired and for negligent driving. 57 vehicles were seized for violating the law. The vehicle was inspected by a team led by Maj. Gen. Jamal al-Sayeed on the instructions of Lt. Gen. Faisal al-Nawaf, undersecretary of the Interior Ministry. 


Representatives of various departments of the Home Ministry, municipal officials and other government departments took part in the inspection. Several people were taken into custody for driving without a license. Authorities said 40 of those arrested were minors and four foreigners accused in the financial case had been arrested.
