KERALA RAINS, INDIAN COMMUNITY IN KUWAIT EXPRESSED SUPPORT

Kuwait City:  Ambassador Sibi George said that the Indian community in Kuwait will be there to support those who are suffering due to the rains in Kerala. The Ambassador said that he was in touch with the Chief Secretary of Kerala and senior officials and expressed all support. The ambassador was speaking at a meeting with representatives of Indian organizations at the embassy yesterday evening. 


Thirty-five people lost their lives in the rains in Kerala. A lot of people are missing. Many houses were destroyed. The flood situation is still continuing. Other parts of the country were also affected by the floods. The government is taking all necessary steps. "We offer our condolences to those who lost their lives in the rains," he said.

The Emir of Kuwait conveyed his condolences to the President on the situation in Kerala. "I thank the Emir, the leadership and the people of Kuwait for their support during this time of crisis," he said.
