KUWAIT RANKS THIRD IN GULF REGION IN US TREASURY BOND INVESTMENT

Kuwait City: Kuwait raises US Treasury bond by 0.86% to $ 400 million a month in August. With this, Kuwait is currently the third largest region in the Gulf. The rise comes after a slump last July. According to the US Treasury website, Kuwait's investment in US Treasury bonds stood at $ 46.8 billion in August. In July, it was $ 46.4 billion. 


Kuwait has $ 11.83 billion in short-term bonds and $ 34.9 billion in long-term bonds. Saudi Arabia is the largest investor in US Treasury bonds in the Arab world. Saudi investment is $ 121.1 billion. The UAE is in second place with $ 58.7 billion. Japan ranks first in that sphere. The investment is $ 1.32 trillion.
