CITRA SAYS KUWAIT HAS BECOME THE MOST DATA CONSUMING COMMUNITY IN WORLD

Kuwait City: Kuwait has become one of the most data consuming communities in the world, said Salim Al Otania, Chairman and CEO of the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority. In 2017, the average monthly data usage per customer was only 50GB. 


There are currently 800,000 5G users in Kuwait. He said the government aims to increase the number of 5G users to 1.2 million by the end of 2021. Al-Otania added that the Communications Authority's service providers are recognizing the growing demand for 5G.
