Kuwait City: An estimated 316,700 expatriates have lost their residency in Kuwait this year. The figures are for the period from January 1 to November 15, 2021. This figure includes those who returned with the planet to permanent residence in their home country and those who were deported earlier this year. Most of those who lost their residency were from an Arab country. Many from two Asian countries lost their residency.

Thus, a total of 44,124 people lost their residency in 2020. Statistics show that the number of people losing their residency is sharply higher than the previous year. Sources say that many people have lost their residency in the last two years due to all the closures.

Many had a residency until 2020. However, it was out of date as it could not be renewed. Residency Affairs sources said that all facilities were available for those stranded outside the country due to Covid to renew their residency online.
