KUWAIT RECEIVES 2.6 BILLION DINARS IN TAXES AND FEES IN FIVE YEARS

Kuwait City: According to official figures, Kuwait has received over 2.6 billion dinars in taxes and fees over the last five years. Simultaneously, the authorities are considering increasing fees in the near future. An increase of approximately 75% is being discussed. If such an increase occurs, it will be beneficial to the overall budget. There is now a clear disparity in revenue between oil and non-oil sources.

The tax on income and profits levied on foreign and domestic corporations is a significant source of revenue. It is also a source of fees for real estate, land, and tourism facilities, as well as fees paid by businesses for government services. Other sources include customs duties, import duties, international airport travel fees, and Kuwait Airspace transit fees.
