NUMBER OF CITIZENS WORKING IN PRIVATE SECTOR IN KUWAIT DECREASED

Kuwait City: The number of citizens working in the private sector has dropped due to the covid epidemic. Compared to the previous year, there has been a slight decrease in 2020. At the same time, there is a huge increase in the number of citizens working in the government sector. However, statistics show that the number of expatriates has declined in both the regions.


According to the Central Administration of Statistics, the number of citizens working in the private sector by 2020 will be 73,303. This is a decrease of 534 people compared to the previous year. At the same time, it is estimated that 8442 new Kuwaiti nationals have joined the government sector. This brings the total number of citizens to 323,358. In 2019, it was 314,916.
