Kuwait City: The credit rating agency "Fitch" ranked Kuwait sixth in the world in terms of risks of exposure to extreme temperatures and drought, adding that the physical risks of climate change pose an increasing threat to countries and governments around the world.

According to Fitch, Kuwait was the hottest country in the world between 2011 and 2020.

It ranked 71 globally out of 121 countries in the index of ability to adapt to climate change, indicating that the lower the country's rating, the less adaptive it was.
