In India, a Hindu event calling for the genocide of Muslims has sparked outrage

Delhi : Videos of Hindu religious leaders in India calling for the genocide of Muslims have sparked outrage and prompted calls for action.


On Friday, Indian police announced the launch of a hate-speech investigation into last week's event in Haridwar, Uttarakhand's northernmost district, in which participants called for mass killings and the use of weapons against Muslims.

According to a viral video, a speaker at the gathering told the audience that they should not be concerned about going to jail for killing Muslims.
