15% OF EXPATRIATE APARTMENTS IN KUWAIT ARE VACANT

Kuwait City: According to research, occupancy rates in investment real estate in Kuwait by the end of 2021 varied by region, reaching 95.1 percent in certain notable places while falling to 48.5 percent in others.


According to a recent Real Estate Union survey, the Al-Mirqab region had the greatest occupancy rate at the end of last year, hitting 95.1 percent, followed by the Al-Qibla area with 92.4 percent, and Al-Farwaniyah and Fintas with 89 percent. 

The Sabah Al-Salem area had the lowest occupancy rates for investment properties in Kuwait at the end of 2021, dropping to 48.5 percent, followed by the Al-Raqi area, which reached 72.6 percent, while occupancy rates in the remainder of the investment areas stayed between 83 percent in some locations. To climb in other regions to 88.2 percent, bringing the general average occupancy rates for investment real estate in Kuwait to 85 percent, implying a 15 percent vacancy rate.
