THE GENERATION RESERVE IS THE THIRD LARGEST SOVEREIGN FUND IN THE WORLD, WITH ASSESTS OF $738 BILLION

Kuwait City: According to the International Institute for Global Sovereign Funds, the Kuwaiti sovereign fund is the third largest sovereign fund, with the Norwegian sovereign fund in first position and the Chinese Investment Authority in second place.


In a fresh update to the ranking of global sovereign funds, the institute stated that the Kuwaiti sovereign fund's total assets increased to $737.93 billion from $692.9 billion, a $45 billion rise.

The assets of the world's largest sovereign fund, "Norway," decreased marginally from $1.36 trillion last year to $1.34 trillion this year, while the assets of the world's second largest sovereign fund, "China," stayed unchanged at $1.222 trillion.
