Kuwait City: Dr. Marzouq Al-Azmi, the head of the Pediatric Emergency Unit at Al-Adan Hospital, has advocated for keeping schools open and continuing education for students, claiming that all that is required is strict adherence to precautionary measures and a smaller number of students in each class, rather than returning to distance learning.

In a statement, Al-Azmi affirmed that returning to "online" learning will have a serious, negative, and psychological impact on pupils, particularly children, since the closure will be devastating for them, as numerous studies have shown.

International organisations, like "UNICEF," have warned against closing schools because of the negative impact on children, calling it "disastrous," according to Dr. Al-Azmi. These organisations have stated that if anything needs to be closed, it should be the schools last.

According to research, the mutant 'Omicron' is less severe and risky for youngsters in terms of the possibility of hospitalisation or problems, according to Dr. Al-Azmi.
