CONCEPT OF CONVERTING GARBAGE INTO ELECTRICITY HAS RESURFACED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Council of Ministers appears to be attempting to resurrect the Kabd project of transforming solid waste into electrical energy, which had been halted following the investor's apology for not carrying it through.


According to the source, the Prime Minister's Office's appeal to the PPP to present it with a vision of the critical project is linked to the prospect of reviving it and getting it back on track, considering the environmental benefits that can be realised. 

According to the sources, the project can be revived through the partnership system, as previously envisaged, or by Kuwait's agreement with one of the nations with which it has environmental accords to take over project development.
