REFINERY ACCIDENT, THE DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND THE INDIAN AMBASSADOR VISITED THE INJURED

Kuwait City: Two people were killed and 10 others were injured in a fire that broke out during repairs to the Kuwait National Petroleum Company's Ahmadi port refinery gas liquefaction plant.  


A maintenance employee of an Arab Enertic company has died. According to the available information, the deceased was a native of Tamil Nadu and a North Indian. Dozens of employees were injured in the incident.

The injured were taken to Al Babtain Hospital. Others have been shifted to Adan Hospital and nearby clinics. The accident happened yesterday morning while the shutdown work was going on. 

Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil and Power Dr. Mohammed Abdul Alatef Al-Faris and Indian Ambassador Sibi George visited the injured at Al Babtain Hospital. The Ambassador of India expressed his deepest condolences on the unfortunate death of Indian citizens and wished all the injured a speedy recovery while assuring all possible medical treatment.
