CAMPAIGN TO TRAIN 3,378 MEDICAL PERSONNEL TO RAIE CANCER AWARENESS

Kuwait City: Dr. Khaled Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Cancer Awareness Campaign (CAN), stated that the campaign is educating 3,378 medical personnel to raise cancer awareness among residents and people.


He noted today, following the beginning of the specialised training programme for nursing staff, that 1,262 dentists were trained on early identification of oral cancer in collaboration with the Ministry of Health's Dental Department. 

According to Al-Saleh, this falls within the framework of the CAN's strategy to achieving its goal of boosting cancer awareness, which includes the establishment of specialist courses for dentists on visual examination of oral malignancies.
