ABOUT 90% OF COVID PATIENTS IN HOSPITAL DO NOT RECEIVE BOOSTER DOSE

Kuwait City: Doctors say 90 percent of those hospitalized with Covid haven't received the booster dose vaccine. It's been about a month since the country's genetically modified Covid variant began to go through the Omicron triad. But Hashim al-Hashimi, head of the Central Covid team at the Ministry of Health, said it had not created major crises.

At the same time, there is a group of people in society who are more prone to complications of the disease, such as the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases. They are the ones who suffer from the complications of the disease. It is in this context that doctors are reminded of the importance of the booster dose.

"Most patients in the intensive care unit have not received the booster dose vaccine," said Dr. Abdullah al-Hashimi, an internal medicine specialist at Jaber Al Ahmed Hospital.  Very few people in the intensive care unit received a booster dose. However, they are less immune to kidney and liver transplant surgery.
