Kuwait City:  The Public Education Sector has identified its need for teachers for certain subjects in the 2022/2023 academic year in preparation for the announcement, which is expected at the beginning of February, regarding the opening of application for local contracting for non-Kuwaitis. According to well-informed educational sources, there are around 11 disciplines for which the ministry needs to fill a lack of educational staff for the coming academic year. They emphasised the necessity of adhering to the experience criterion when accepting applicants' documentation in all subjects, with the exception of female music educators.

According to the sources, applicants with non-educational credentials should have at least three years of experience, while those with educational credentials should have two years. Holders of a doctorate degree with a grade of at least "Very Good" in the university qualification, holders of a master's degree with an average of not less than "Excellent" in the university qualification, and graduates of Kuwait University's College of Education, the Public Authority for Applied Education Training's College of Basic Education, and all other government officials are exempt from the experience requirement.
