GREAT ZOO TO BE SET UP ON 1.4 MILLION SQUARE METRES IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Economic Affairs Committee of the Council of Ministers discussed a letter of a proposal to follow up on the government's performance for the idea of an educational and entertainment project in the Jahra Governorate, to be implemented by the Public Institute for Social Security (PIFSS) at a total cost of 546,947,207 dinars.


According to the source, the Government Performance Follow-up Agency's proposal for the project idea is in line with the State of Kuwait's orientation toward activating public-private partnerships, especially since the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) expressed its desire to propose the Great Zoo project and was aspiring to achieve a qualitative leap in education at the time. 

According to the report, the components of the project would be (animal shelter, educational and cultural centers, zoo, commercial activity, restaurants, resorts, hotels, water park (indoor and outdoor), climbing, horseback riding, botanical gardens, theaters and entertainment, golf courses, bike paths, etc.) if implemented on an area of 1,400,000 square meters.
