MINISTRY OF INTERIOR BANS THE "YOGA AND MEDITATION JOURNEY" CAMP

Kuwait City: Without issuing any statement about the procedure and its reasons, the Ministry of Interior banned the “Yoga and Meditation” trip camp, which was to be set up yesterday morning in the Barr Al-Zour area.


The information of the organizer of the camp stated that the Ministry of the Interior asked its organizers to cancel it and not hold its activities, after one of the National Assembly representatives announced that such practices are alien to Kuwaiti society, which the ministry responded to.

In a statement to "Al-Jarida", the presenter of the programs on Kuwait TV, the yoga instructor supervising the camp, Iman Al-Husseinan, said that she had submitted a complaint to the Public Prosecution against the "Interior" for preventing it from setting up the cam 

Al-Husseinan added that she was surprised by the Ministry of the Interior's decision in this regard, pointing out that the camp is for women only, and it would have been held according to a specific time frame starting from morning until evening, and it did not include overnight stays for the participants.
