SECURITY CHECK, 19,478 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN KUWAIT IN 2021

Kuwait City: Authorities have tightened security checks across the country. The public security sector said 10 people were on the wanted list, seven were residency violators and three were reported to be absconding. A total of 19,478 people were arrested in 2021 at various police stations. A total of 3,484 people on the criminal and civil wanted list, 2,583 residency offenders, 1,041 reported fugitives and 7,301 undocumented were arrested.


A total of 358 alcohol-related cases and 3,089 drug-related cases were reported. A total of 1,657 vehicles on the wanted list were taken into custody. 66,284 traffic offenses detected. The Capital Governorate is the number one case of misdemeanor cases. 4,532 cases were reported here. The Haveli Governorate is second with 3,895 cases. The Farwaniya Governorate is number one in criminal cases. Zahra is in second place. 976 and 732 cases were reported here respectively.
