1O DAYS NATIONAL HOLIDAYS, 2,42,000 PEOPLE WILL TRAVEL FROM KUWAIT

Kuwait City: It is estimated that more than 242,000 people will travel through Kuwait International Airport during the 10-day holiday in conjunction with National Day. Istanbul, Cairo, Dubai and Jeddah are the main destinations of choice. The holiday is from February 24 to March 4. These days, more than 242,000 citizens and expatriates travel through Kuwait International Airport.


Of this, 55 per cent, or about 133,541 nationals and expatriates, travel from Kuwait to various countries. 44%, or 108,494, will reach Kuwait. The number of people leaving Kuwait on national holidays is 23 per cent higher than those coming to the country. This is a difference of 25,047 passengers. Kuwait International Airport handles 2,280 flights a day, averaging 228 a day, sources said.
