27,000 TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS REPORTED IN KUWAIT IN ONE WEEK

Kuwait City: Authorities are conducting a crackdown on traffic violations following a directive from Maj. Gen. Jamal al-Sayeg, assistant undersecretary for traffic and operations affairs at the Ministry of Interior. During this week, 27,508 traffic violations were reported.


84 vehicles and 31 motorcycles were moved to the detention garage. Thirty-five offenders reported serious traffic offenses to the Traffic Department. In addition, 57 juveniles were arrested for driving without a license. They were referred to the Juvenile Prosecution. Authorities said 20 vehicles were seized while 10 people on the wanted list were arrested.
