SUFFICIENT STRATEGIC FOOD STOCK IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is committed to distributing free ration supplies to deserving COVID-19 front-line personnel on the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Interior's lists. The front-line supply quantities have no bearing on the strategic stock quantities because they were computed in a separate supply exchange from the stock. 


The specified quantities will not be disbursed from the stock." According to the sources, personnel of the two ministries should double-check that their names are on the list of qualified people before going to the supply centres to get their quotas.

On a similar note, sources disclosed that the meals will not be distributed to all family members of deserving expatriate front-liners, as they are designed for front-liners and those registered under their residency. There are two categories of front-liners, they explained. 

The first group, which includes qualified nationals, Gulf citizens, and Bedoun residents, already possesses a ration card. For all individuals registered in their cards, this sector will receive the entire supply. The second group consists of eligible residents, whose rations will be confined to those who are enrolled under the beneficiaries' domicile.
