Kuwait City: The Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has issued administrative decision No. 156/2022, which outlines the regulations and processes for awarding work permits. The limitation on issuing health insurance to expatriates aged 60 and up in listed firms was lifted as a result of the judgement. Its issuance is now open to all organisations that have been approved and qualified by the Insurance Regulatory Unit.

"The worker must have a comprehensive and irrevocable health insurance policy issued by one of the licenced businesses competent to issue insurance policies from the Insurance Regulatory Unit," according to the judgement. The terms of Decision No. 552/2018 and the accompanying regulations, as well as Decision No. 27/2021 and the accompanying regulation, are abolished. All decisions and circulars that contravene the terms of this regulation will remain in effect in addition to the decisions and circulars that do not. The authority has the authority to make decisions and circulars that are required for their execution."
